We finally got our first forecast for race day. And, boy, does it look pretty darn good.
It's rather notable how much the temps for the early part of the weekend have jumped since just a few days ago. And the possibility of rain on Sunday, while somewhat annoying is MUCH preferable to having it on race day. (Yes, I see the 24% chance on race day.)
While the overnight low into Monday morning looks to be 52 at the moment, that's approximatey at sunrise. The race doesn't start until 10am (for we non-elites), so it should be closer to 60 at that point, and nearing the high for most of the runners before they cross the finish line.
And the winds look like they might actually be helpful to neutral. WNW winds amount to a tailwind. The winds will apparently shift to S (and by the evening to WSW). Crosswind isn't so bad.
I'll take it. Let the weather gods keep up the god work, please!
