Well, so far, my various applications for charity bibs have not been successful, to include my most recent one with Achilles International. But I'm not going to let that deter me yet. While it's certainly late in application "season" and will wind up being more challenging to raise the full amount needed for any charity that accepts me given the ever more narrow window of time, there are still a few more that are open and with whom I've applied. Heck, given my 2024 antics, I even sent a note to Dunkin' to see if I can get some sort of sponsor/partner bib through them -- assuming they have one. (They're not an official partner, so it's not certain they would have one to even consider awarding to me.)
Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can get a bib somehow to run Boston in April. Having the magic 10 consecutive (which this would be) makes it MUCH easier to get in in subsequent (also consecutive) years, since I wouldn't need to worry about having a buffer underneath my Boston Qualifying time. And given that I "age up" for 2027, I wind up gaining an extra 10 minutes to work with.
