Tentative World Record broken

The person I was nervous for re: the Guinness World Record attempt ran 3:57:10 in Toronto today. Her attempt was for fastest marathon dressed as a chef (female). The current record is 4:36:04. She totally shattered it!

So, if she has all of the documentation handled properly for Guinness' review, in several weeks she should hopefully get the record ratified.

If you're feeling a little lackluster with your running lately and don't have a goal to aim for, consider pursuing a world record. It's LOTS of fun, especially with some of the different costume choices. You can either do a search for the list on Guinness' website, or you could just take a look at what was posted on Toronto Marathon's website earlier this year. These were all of the previously established ones. Only a small percentage of the list was being attempted.
