Dueling Forecasts

Hmmm... what a fascinating pair of forecasts I have in my immediate future.

As a VA resident, we keep getting warnings of an increasingly apocalyptic snowstorm.

Well, I keep saying that I see no point in the cold of winter if we don't get snow. If the forecast holds, we'll get well over  a foot over the weekend. But if things go like they usually do, we'll get at most half of the predicted total, if not even less than that.

But if the timing works out as above, I won't be here for it. Instead, I'll be at the exact opposite extreme...

Sure, this would be a great break from the cold of winter under normal circumstances, but I'll be running a marathon in those conditions on Sunday. Oy!!! WAY too hot!

At least the snowstorm should be done well before I return home on Monday night. I just hope things are plowed well enough for me to get a taxi home from the airport.
