Week 3 begins

The first two weeks were certainly a success for my training runs. And while I managed today's as well, it was definitely tough for me. But, continuing to "run the mile I'm in" certainly helped break it down and make it more manageable.

What I need to figure out in reasonably short order is how I want to get more protein into my diet on days like today. I used the InBody machine both before and after my run. And, despite drinking about 12 oz of water on my 10-mile run, I wound up dropping over 4 pounds during it. But not all water. Apparently, according to the machine, half of the loss was actually muscle. While I don't think that, itself, is preventable, I would like to make sure I regain that muscle as quickly as possible. But I really don't want to do those shakes. It's enough that I wind up having a protein bar every day. I'd rather not do multiple "fake foods" for my protein consumption.
